CELEBRATING TEN YEARS OF TAIL: IF IT BLEEDS WE CAN KILL IT
TAILOTHEPUP 1999-2009
In 1999, George "Wampus" Wallace and Matty "Five Sixseven" Anderson created the avant-garde futurist band TAILOTHEPUP. Since then, their music has been heard on stage, in theatrical productions, on Atlanta's Album 88 radio, and in the award-winning feature film John's Arm: Armageddon. Incorporating everything from guitars to string instruments to robotic noise, TAILOTHEPUP is like nothing you've heard before or since. Their dedication to musical concepts such as Implied Sound Theory and palindromic song structure has garnered them a respectable cult following in Japan, as well as planets Jupiter and Saturn.
Now, in celebration of their first ten years of composing and creating music, TAILOTHEPUP is releasing a remastered album of their favorite tracks in a special limited edition package! This means old favorites mixed to sound 10x better, a remix or two, and even some new material from the hardest-of-all-to-find Electrodomestico EP. All in one handy, sweet-looking dose. You are going to love it.
As the release draws closer, you'll find info, videos, art, and more good stuff on this page, so don't forget to check back! In fact, bookmark this page if you haven't already. You won't regret it.

"HCHO" from Insincere (2003)
Five's Fave: "'Just A Pickle' is one of our most blatant examples of a palindromic track. Halfway through it, it plays backwards, with live guitar overdubbed onto it. There were string pieces recorded for this album that were written to be played both backwards and forwards."
Throw Up Throw Down (2004)
Wampus: "This is the dark cathartic one. Originally it was conceived as the 'Battle Rock' album, and instead of a jewel box, the CD would come in a Ziploc bag full of bloody teeth and shards of automotive glass."
Insincere (2003)
Five: "Yes, this is the one with the 'Starscream' song on it, which is actually capable of blowing your woofers. Plus, we look quite ravishing on the back cover."
Foreign Accents (2002)
Five sez: "I apologize for the lousy compression on a couple of the latter-day tracks. But what the heck, it came free with the Pod comic."
The Many Musical Moods of Tailothepup (2005)
Another collectible freebie, this time for the '04 MoCCA Festival. Features the extremely rare 3-piece "Concept Of Space" composition.
Boner's Manual (2004)
The earliest major collaboration, this disc has the embryo yolks of later YR tracks like "Black Licorice" and "Voodoo Pork". For best results, turn down all ambient lights when playing.
Misery (2000)
This mini-disc rarity, the original soundtrack of the animated short, features not only "I Want You To Die" from Insincere, but the B-side "You're A Retard (I'm A Retard Too)", a scavenger-hunt track if there ever was one.
John's Arm 4 OST (2003)
Tailothepup Yars Revenge (2005)
Recorded primarily at the original Pod Studio in the thick of the ATL, Yars Revenge utilizes field recordings, industrial (as in machine) noise, samples torn from the Misery album, and a Pignose amp hung from steel wire. Like its predecessor Throw Up Throw Down, Yars Revenge is intended to be heard through headphones, or at a very loud volume. Features "Shakey Two Stars", a perfect example of Implied Sound Theory, and quite possibly the loudest song we've ever played.
Lineup: Wampus, Sixseven, Pickles.
The holy grail. Rumored to have never been seen by human eyes, this EP covers the final days of the first studio and the genesis of the score for the JA feature. Supposedly there's a copy in the Pod Office, but no one is allowed anywhere near it for some reason.
Pickles: "If it actually does exist, it'll find it's way to those who need it most, when it is most needed. Now get the fuck out of my house."
